A balloon for the county

Northamptonshire has been known as the Rose of the Shires for generations. This project puts that name in the sky, a balloon built around the county itself, carried by the businesses that make it what it is.

Hot air balloons are natural head-turners. Whether tethered at an event or drifting overhead at sunrise, people stop and watch, and they reach for their phones. A tile on this envelope puts your name in every one of those photographs.

It is also a shared effort. Instead of one brand carrying the cost of a whole balloon, a group of local businesses each take a tile, which is what makes the entry cost so much lower than a dedicated programme.

The project has been relaunched with a significantly lower entry point than before, putting it within reach of smaller local businesses rather than only large sponsors.
